The Linthicum Group Will Provide “Real World” SOA Consulting to Leading Global 2000 Organizations, Government Agencies, and SOA Product Companies.

Reston Va., November 1, 2006, David Linthicum, an internationally known application integration and service oriented architecture (SOA) expert, announced today the launch of his new consulting organization the Linthicum Group (www.linthicumgroup.com).  The Linthicum Group was created to assist Global 2000 organizations, government agencies, and SOA product companies with the implementation of sound SOA strategies that work the first time.

The Linthicum Group provides “real world” SOA consulting services to product or end-user organizations who are seeking guidance beyond the SOA hype.   The group seeks to understand your requirements first, and then define the correct solution to meet the particular needs of your enterprise, or SOA product organization.    The group leverages proven and pre-built approaches and methodologies, using industry best practices, including © Steps, David Linthicum’s SOA methodology, now in use for over 5 years.

“What’s unique about the Linthicum Group is that we come to organizations with a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the notion of SOA, as well as pre-built and tested approaches for the proper implementation of a SOA game plan in the client organization. “ says David Linthicum.  “We ignore the hype, going directly to the requirements and needs of the client organization, crafting a solution that’s correct for them and will make them successful.”

David is the host of InfoWorld's SOA Report Podcast, and writes the InfoWorld's Real World SOA Blog, and has columns in both Web Services Journal and Business Integration Journal.

“End user organizations will learn more about their own requirements, having a complete semantic, services, and process level understanding of their domain before selecting the technology solution that will work for them.” Linthicum continues.

Moreover, the group will work with SOA product organizations, teaching them how their product compares and competes in their market space, as well as any planning needed around product enhancements to meet market demands.  This includes leveraging new enabling technology, and key enabling standards.
